You need to write the book first, and THEN worry about the illustrations. You can make illustrations out of construction paper, like South Park characters, or you can make them out of photos that you manipulate the arms and legs for each picture. But first you need a story to illustrate. You can create painted or photo images at http://www.splashup.com (it is like the dreaded photoshop, but is FREE and ONLINE) or you can create vector drawings and photo edits at http://www.aviary.com Best of success to you! ~Moz

Umm, I've never really seen publishers give credit for doing the things that books need to have in order to be presentable. Maybe have a small bio for yourself at the back of the book under your grandfather's bio (an illustrator's bio) and say there that you're the one who put the book into production. For instance, if you'll look at the Harry Potter books (I've seen another book where the illustrator has a bio and there are probably more) the illustrator for those books has her own bio right next to J K Rowlings. Or, you can write a foreword, I guess, but I'd probably go with the bio.

I'd write a foreword saying basically what you've posted here, rather than trying to give yourself a specific title. Self-publishing doesn't count as a publishing credit anyway, so it's not going to matter how you are listed.

Your characters and art can be in a simple style. Perhaps these easy drawing lessons will build your confidence if you want to give it an attempt. Even stick people can be cool. http://www.how-to-draw-and-paint-smart.com/ You find character in the how to draw cool cartoon section. Good luck to you!

Well, for one thing, you might want to start by finding an agent...assuming your book is good. You can publish without an agent, but it's much harder because editors are much more likely to take seriously a manuscript that is already recommended by a professional. Also a lot of publishing companies don't accept manuscript submissions that are unsolicited manuscripts, or ones that don't have an agent to back it up. An agent is someone who knows editors in publishing companies and knows what different editors are looking for and typically lives in New York. In order to get an agent you need to have a finished manuscript to show them. Agents require something called a query letter, which is kind of like a resume. You can look up on google how to write one. It really helps your odds of getting an agent to take you on if you have some professional experience, like having been published in some place like a magazine. If an agent decides to take you on (which don't get upset if you get rejected because it's quite risky for agents to take on new authors) then they will go about finding a publishing company for your story, although it could still get rejected by publishers. Basically, its a long, hard process to publish a book, and most authors (even J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer) have faced several rejections before an acceptance. So, yeah, if you are REALLY serious about publishing your book then, fwi, you're going to face A LOT of rejection because even great authors faced rejection before getting published. Until the time comes (if it does come) for you to be published keep writing and improving and read a lot. Ok, I'm sorry, but are you really asking people to take your story seriously when you say something like "I had no INCCORECT grammar in my query letter?" Every single part of your question is chalk full of INCORRECT grammar...
