Your motherboard and CPU are not compatible. Take a look at these two configurations to get an idea of a good, balanced gaming rig.: $500 http://budgetpcs.blogspot.com/2012/11/no... $750 http://budgetpcs.blogspot.com/2012/11/no...

You'll be fine with that, ultra settings is good to go. few things, Try and get the Tahiti LE core version of the 7870, a little more expensive but a lot better compared to the standard 7870. If you think youll consider Crossfire you'll need the z77x-D3H, when you decide on a power supply, ensure it is 600w 80+ certified. So far thoygh, great rig

Your current CPU (Intel) is not compatible with your motherboard (AMD). You will want to find a motherboard using the Z77 chipset. The AsRock Z77 Extreme4 is a great Z77 board in the same price range ($104). link below. You should get high frame rates on all modern games with this build. Good luck!

LOL dumbass Intel processors aren't compatible with AM3 boards. AMD Processors are. They should give an IQ test before you can buy computer hardware, people like you slant newegg reviews because you simply can't install the stuff. BTW You should add an SSD, better loading times for games, downgrade your HDD if you have to. @Papi, ASRock boards are terrible, horrible customer support, BIOS, and expansion. Better brands are Gigabyte, MSi, and ASUS.

Your build is what i called imbalanced set up. Even the basic novatech build up is the same as yours and much cheaper £554.99 (see below) and they cleverly set 2x Sata3 500Gb hard drive for you to set Raid 0 (using 2 drive as 1 to double the speed, but also becoming 1 TB) http://www.novatech.co.uk/pc/range/irush... Tough i notice it didn't mention window 7 64 bit (not 32, when you use 4 Gb ram, use 64 bit) no need Novatech 10/100/1000 PCI LAN Adapter, all mother board already have inside. Using i5 within you budget is not wise since you will reduce the vga significantly. I would recommend getting Revolution V2 package for £589.99: AMD FX-6 6100 Processor - 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz Memory - 1TB SATA Hard Drive ATI 6870 1GB Graphics Card - Novatech Gaming Case & 700W PSU . It has better balance than above. http://www.novatech.co.uk/pc/range/revol... with extra £37, you can change HD 6850 with GTX 560TI http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/compo... I can assure you the revolution package will blow your basic set up like middle weight versus feather weight. My spec are AMD X4-B55 (unlock from X2-555) , 4 Gb DD3-1600, HD 6850. I can play BF3 @ 1366x720 high setting wtih 40+ fps. Revolution 2 is a bit better than mine but not much. With skyrim, i have to reduce the water reflection and high setting to get 30+ fps. Good luck
