You can technically use Wikipedia to help. At the bottom of a Wikipedia page are a bunch of sources people used to write that page. Take a look at those sources. Also, use Google to search for your designer. Find websites that look like scholarly websites.

Darnell Originally Answered: Why is "reincarnation research" supported by some scientists such as Carl Sagan, yet any research pertaining?
For those who don't believe Sagan made this statement, go to http://www.scribd.com/doc/2896840/The-De... and look up page 300. He states that past life recollection has "some, although still dubious, experimental support." Sagan was a hard-core realist, and he allowed the possibility of reincarnation -- which happens to be true, by the way, as science one day will figure out how to validate. Before microscopes were invented, bacteria wasn't a recognized reality, either.

There are many churches out there with a huge amount of funds at their disposal, if you want to suggest a conspiracy as to why nobody is researching god, why not start there, why are you own religious leaders interested in funding research that might lead to the truth (assuming you could actually design an experiment that would be relevant)? I suggest it's because churches are not even slightly interested in the truth, they just want to propagate their dogma - if they had any real reason to believe it were true, they would not need to push "faith" so hard, they could give evidence. Finally, there has been some research about god, there have been several studies investigating the power of prayer to affect medical outcomes. It has been found that prayer has absolutely no effect on medical outcomes whatsoever - your god either isn't listening, doesn't care, can't help, or he's just not there in the first place.

There are things concerning reincarnation that can be scientifically investigated: children who correctly select objects belonging to a previous self out of a larger collection of random items, for example. (and of course such results certainly do not prove reincarnation) Researching concerning God rarely can be approached in such a way. The only "God" research I can think of that can be scientifically approached is what the Catholic Church does to verify miracles - investigating the actual miracles, interviewing those involved, ruling out non-miraculous posibilities, etc. And I think that kind of study is perfectly valid. (it also doesn't prove God. At best it proves the liklihood of miracles.) But when people say "Bananas perfectly fit the human hand, thus proving God," then yes, I scoff. That's not science.

you can use magazine articles in which he is interviewed so you have accurate information. Has a biography been written about him or has he written an autobiography. Has he won any awards and has anything been written about him when he won?

Go to your alma matter and discuss with the professors on how to publish your work. Use this as a leverage for your doctoral application.

submission to a journal or three, they send it back torn to shreds, you re-write it and send it back, they criticize it more and send it back, you re-write it (always do this taking into account everything they say), you re-submit it, they send you a letter of approval and publish it usually sending you a copy of the journal it is published in. You may want to check the journal for length requirements and such as many limit how long your article can be. Good luck...it is a game to play and you have to play it...
