Topic: How to write a t in script
May 24, 2019 / By Fortune Question:
I was wondering if someone could teach me how to write a script for irc using mirc.
Or if there is an easy to follow tutorial with clear steps.

The mIRC FAQ is a script tutorial. Take your time - it's not simple. (And each version adds more.)
Keep two things in mind:
The script runs on events. When text appears on the screen (someone else's, not yours), an on:text event fires. If someone ctcps you, a ctcp: event fires. Script doesn't "just run". (Aliases run when you type them.)
Once a script fires for that event, no more scripts in that file will fire for that event, so a on:text:*: will fire on all text events and no other text script in that file will fire. Put the MOST restrictive script before less restrictive script. Like:
(The syntax is just for demonstration - there's more to an on text than those lines.)
