How about malaria? You can talk about the prevelance, the expense of drugs to fight it (especially when compared to the income of Africans), whether bed net distribution programs are working and whether it makes sense to ban DDT when that is how we eradicated malaria in the Western world. FYI, in the future, please don't write in all caps. It is hard to read and it means that you are shouting at us.

Do not ever use first person. Do not say things like "I think." Do not ever use the words "I" or "you." it does not make the paper sound professional. Using words like "I think" are also not good in a persuasive essay because they make you sound unsure of your argument. Just state things as if they were facts that you knew. Support every claim you make with evidence.

If you can't write about the genocide in Darfur, consider writing about the history of genocides in Africa. What caused them, and what can prevent them? Darfur is the hot topic right now, but they've had genocides in Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. Those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure more have happened. Also consider: a) child soldiers b) radical religious groups c) European/American intervention d) post-colonization

The Maori language spoken by the Maori people of New Zealand is culturely important. They are the only speakers of this language in the world. If they don't preserve it by teaching their young it will be lost to the world forever.
