Question: I am doing a paper on the Hindu God, Brahma, and my thesis is that Brahma provides a context for openess in Hinduism. I KNOW you don't want to help me most likely but I'm desperate. It would be really great if you could tell me where I can find scholarly articles written by credited sources, that have in-depth and analytical descriptions of religious figures, particulary Brahma.

Here is a LibGuide from a community college Web site. It explains what journals are and how to find them. Click on the "Databases" tab to see examples of database names that your local college or public library may subscribe to. http://libguides.pasadena.edu/content.ph... Another resource is the Directory of Open Access Journals http://www.doaj.org/ and Google Scholar http://scholar.google.com/ Open a chat with a librarian for further assistance: Examples: http://www.oregonlibraries.net/ http://sfpl.org/index.php?pg=2000001701

You need to read - - the four vedas, viz. rig, yajur, atharvana & sama. - all the brahmanas, - all the puranas, such as Vishnu purana, Shiva purana, etc. - Bhagavatam, and - the upanishads. Unfortunately the originals are available only in Sanskrit, which you probably wouldnt understand. The next credible source is - www.sacred-texts.com under link hinduism. They have done the best job possible in translating the above into english.

Literature on Brahma is vast. Upanishads are the primary source. Various philosophical schools too have views on Him.

If you have not done so already, ask your former professor to make special arrangements for you to access the data you need through the old university. The professor wants you to get the work done and should be motivated.
