Miss soccer game to attend open house, or vice versa?

Miss soccer game to attend open house, or vice versa? Topic: Versa papers
July 21, 2019 / By Esther
Question: We have already made our decision, but a friend of ours has a STRONG disagreement with our decision, so I was just wondering what everyone else would do. (No, we aren't changing our minds I'm just asking out of curiosity.) Do we: A.) Have our son attend his team soccer game and miss the school's open house? B.) Attend the open house and have our son sit out of soccer. A few notes: -There is no way to do both. -Open House is only sitting with the teacher as a group for 15 minutes while they give a presentation, but there is only 1 open house. -Soccer game is 1 of only 10 games this year. Thanks for the input! :D FYI -- we are skipping open house. A friend of mine flipped out (not that it's her business) because she said it's ridiculous to miss it over a game. We decided it's not very important, we will always meet her at the conference.

You said we, so that implies that there are two of you. So one goes to the game and one goes to open house. Skip open house. It's real short. All they do is give you some sheets of paper that your son will give you the next school day.

She cried about it because she knew she was being a jerk to the guy. The only thing you can do, if apologizing would feel better, is to tell her "I'm sorry you got so upset the other day, but you DO need to learn to be nicer to people and that others, despite how different they are, are NOT below you." And walk away. That way, you've made your apology, but you've also proven your point and stood up for what you did.

u shouldnt worry about it. she sounds like a ***** who needed a kick in the ***. and its not like you were unreasonable when u were talkiing to her, u were just helping her learn to stop being so condescending.

I would say skip open house, it's not required so it's really not that important. I only went to see what class my friends were in and to mess around with them. Your son will obviously have a lot of time to get to know his teacher and so on and so forth. If he goes to soccer, then he gets to run around and have fun. Definitely skip open house. :)

i really think your making the wrong decision. school comes before sports, do you really want to teach your kid to skip out on school events for a sports game? there will be nine more soccer games, zero more open houses. its grade school soccer, not FIFA, i honestly dont understand how you can put that over your childs education.

You can't. Be very grateful that your Mum is a very responsible mother. You are a child and you should not be sexually active. Please do your homework and learn the implications of being sexually active at such a young age. As a mother of 3 sons. the only time a girl was allowed to stay over was when they were in a long term adult relationship. Try asking when you are 18 and have been with a guy for a long time.
