Question: Hi, in order to increase cost effectiveness for my business, I would like to combine two shampoos, but I wanted to make sure no reactions would occur when combining. Here are the main chemical ingredients of the two: Quick Fire: http://www.powr-flite.com/istore/msds/quickfire.pdf nonionic surfectant citric acid sodium hydroxide glycol ether DPM Extractor Shampoo with Zonyl EDTA, diethylene glycol butyl ether isopropanol amphoteric surfectant

Depending on the relative concentrations of these ingredients, I'd expect either no reaction, or the precipitation of some kind. I'd try mixing two samples of these shampoos together in roughly the same ratio you plan to use in your carpet cleaner. See if anything weird happens after 10 hours or so, such as the formation of a fine solid, big clots, or the formation of two layers of fluid. Then, if that test goes well (i.e. nothing happens), add water to your mixture to dilute the shampoo by roughly as much as it will be diluted in the cleaner. Again, watch and observe. If you don't see any separation or clotting, you're probably OK to use the mix. I seriously doubt there will be any kind of violent chemical reaction, but something may happen that will reduce the effectiveness of your cleaner or your service.

The only time tasering someone multiple times should be considered is if after the first taser it didn't phase the person. A person on meth would probably require three tasers, but it is still highly dangerous to taser anyone that much. Tasers aren't toys and can still kill people with misuse and abuse. Edit: "In Seattle, a 16-year-old was tasered four times on the back of the neck when the car in which he was a passenger was stopped for a faulty headlight." Thats police brutality. The cop shouldn't have tasered him in the first place for something so minor. Four tasers is insane. Would anyone approve of a cop beating the crap out of a civilian? Tasering a person four times or beating the crap out of a person are about equal. The body harms are about the same.

Sen. Gary Siplin, D-Orlando, to propose a bill that would restrict the use of Tasers to firing only at violent or threatening lawbreakers. His bill died in committee May 6. The bill died for ONE simple reason, the committee recognized that it would not have changed a thing. Tasers are already only used on violent people. Even if that were not the case, use of ANY force against people that are not presenting a threat is ALREADY prohibited under existing law. "I was hearing reports of Tasing for jaywalking, a 75-year-old woman, a 5-foot, 100-pound high school girl — by a 200-pound officer," Hearing from WHO? The 75 year old lady with pepper spray? Without a source or details about what they were doing when they were Tased (not the original 'crime'), your examples are meaningless. Officer Johnathan Cute tops the list with 35 Tasing incidents, according to the report Did the report mention if he is assigned to a particularly high crime area. It probably didn't say, but I doubt you would have noticed if it did. "When I tried to get up he was like, 'Tase him, Tase him.' What kind of IDIOT tries to move after being hit by a Taser? Any fool knows if Police feel the need to use force, they will continue until YOU stop resisting.

Your right, but if the citizens were humble no use of force is necessary. This week in DC a man got abusive to an officer and he died from the taser shock. The suspect heart stopped! Maybe the tasers are being abused, but the criminal should respect the law, and no taser will be necessary.

First, try it in a cup. You may find stuff starts falling out as solids, not good. The two also are for different things, so mixing them may cancel out their cleaning ability. The sodium hydroxide for example may cancel the isopropanol. I think you may not find any bad reactions, but I think you will find you lose the cleaning ability. Also remember if you try it, to recalculate all the mixing formulas to account for the other.

If you have fleas there WAS a pet in the apartment. Here, by law, if there was a pet the landlord is REQUIRED to fumigate for fleas between renters. But few do it. I would complain right away. They need to spray or fog the place and then clean the carpet. First, get a copy of your landlord tenet laws. Then , if I were you I would write a letter and keep a copy complaining about the smell and the fleas no matter how they decided to handle it. This should help protect you against the landlord trying to claim you were responsible for the carpet. And keep a record of any calls and their responses or resolution. Good Luck.

First thing I'd do is contact your apartment manager since this is the only way you can prove that you're not responsible for "pet damage". I'd certainly tell him that you think the previous tenants had pets; that the odor is very pervasive, and even though you've tried to deodorize the carpet, you still have this awful pet odor smell and have found fleas.
