1. Summarize. The biggest thing is that m is the "slop" of a line. when m < 0 then the line goes from upper left to the lower right. when m > 0 then the line goes from lower left to the upper right. 2a. You will be buying beer for a party: the graph is beers = 4 * persons + 2 +2 because at least 2 bottles will be broken before somebody drinks it.

ok. a million If her first toddler is a woman it is going to likely be named april. If the 2nd toddler is a boy it is going to likely be the 2nd toddler, however the 1st boy, so as that infant would be named Billy. So plausible mixtures are. woman, woman - April, Chonda woman Boy - April, Billy boy, woman - Billy, April Boy Boy - Billy, Dylan 2. So from the checklist you could deduce that there are 4 plausible tactics of her having 2 toddlers. only one combination may well be 2 females. The theoreitcal risk of having 2 females is a million/2 x a million/2 = a million/4. 3. Out of one hundred twenty five gadgets 32 have been boys only and sixty 3 only had a million woman. 32 + sixty 3 = ninety 5 one hundred twenty five-ninety 5 = 30 So the experimental threat is 30/one hundred twenty five = 6/25 4. This one's slightly long winded. you could insert the names your self i desire. woman = G Boy = B plausible mixtures GGG GGB GBG GBB BBB BBG BGB BGG i think of it is all of them. undergo in suggestions in spite of if it is the third toddler, if it is the 1st boy, then the child gets the 1st boy call, no longer the thrid. Theoretical probablity of her having 3 females = a million/8 (a million/2 x a million/2 x a million/2) This probablity is below her experimental threat, yet that probablity only looks at 2 toddlers being born no longer 3, so the coaching won't be able to truly be extropolated and utilized to 3 births. desire this facilitates.

In linear relationship, the table contains two columns of x-values and y-values. We will find that the ratio of " difference in successive values in y Column to the difference in corresponding x-values " is a constant. This constant is called slope of the line on graph. Equation of this relationship is of the form : - ( y - y1 ) = [ ( y2 - y1 ) / ( x2 - x1 ) ] x + ( x - x1 ) P.K Tandon .........................................

take a look at x values and determine if x values are growing/decreasing by a constant do the same for y values only if both x and y are growing/decreasing by a constant do you have a linear relationship for example: x: 1 2 3 4 5 y: -3 -1 1 3 5 x is increasing by 1 and y is increasing by 2 so it is a linear relationship however, x: 1 2 3 4 5 y: 1 2 4 8 10 here x is increasing by 1 by y is growing by a factor of 2 so it is not a linear relationship...:)
