Be prepared. Read "Alice in Wonderland," and be familiar with the characters and plot. If there's a specific script, find out if you can read it beforehand. Take writing utensils and a small pad with you. You may be asked to read "cold." This doesn't mean unprepared, and it's perfectly all right to ask the director if you may have a minute to look over the script. Then, take a minute (but no more) to do so. You may be asked to read a particular monologue, or a scene with another actor. Study what the other actors do. If they stand still throughout, you can put in a cross on one of your lines, or sit on a handy chair. This inventiveness will be noticed by the director. If everyone else shouts the same "angrily" line, take a deep breath and growl or hiss the line, putting all the repressed anger you can into it. Don't be afraid to stand out. Above all, don't let the fear get you. 30 years on, I still wear loose trousers to auditions in case my knees shake. "Break a leg," as they say.

why can't you play soccer in highschool? does brazil not have highschool soccer? a few girls on my travel soccer team got to play in college without playing in high school. That was because our team went to college showcase tournaments and the scouts found them there. So NO. you dont need to play in high school, but you should be playing some type of organized soccer on a team in brazil. but some of the players in my club have gotten drafted right out of highschool and attended professional practices AS WELL AS their college practices. these are the better players who go on to get actual playing time in MLS and be stars but if you really love the sport you should try to play in high school to get the extra practices and game times.....playing HS soccer really developes you as a player.

Thiago Stay in brazil man and play soccer there play for Cruzeiro , São Paulo , International , Flamengo , Galo , Bahia , Corinthians , Santos whatever MLS is one of the worst leagues in the world you won't get respect playing here unless your Thierry Henry or David Beckham or Donovan I'm Brazilian as well i play soccer too but if i go pro il move back to Minas Gerias and play for Cruzeiro an if that doesn't work out il continue to write Musica Sertaneja hope i helped ! Good luck and God Bless .

No there have been many players that come in and make it as a walk on. It won't matter how good you were in high school of your good in college. Be a good player and anything can happen for you.

expect to be nervous, but don't let it overcome you, you will probably be asked to do a cold reading, which is basically where the director hands you a script and says something like "read the monolouge on page 4", don't worry, she/he is just trying to find out if you can easily, if you know what i mean "slip into character". Don't worry, just have fun, good luck! :)

Okay, I am going into my freshman year too, but I have a lot of older friends who have told me about high school. DON'T WORRY ABOUT HOW YOU LOOK OR WHAT YOU ARE WEARING! From the sound of it, you wear what all teenagers do. Plus, each person is different and unique, so your clothes should be the same way. From the looks of your schedule, you must be a good student to be in almost all honors classes. Just remember to always do your homework! Study for test, of course. And finally, don't freak out about school work all the time! Plus, it looks like you got a balance of classes from your last 3! I have noticed that in my past 3 middle school years that almost everyone has matured, but there are still those who are jerks. Unless you provoke them by spreading rumors or talk about them behind their backs, you should be able to avoid those kinds of people. High School is a time to make some new friends! Be nice, talk to people who look like they don't have a lot of friends. It can really brighten up their day if you even complement them or sit with them at lunch! Good luck! :)

Hang on a minute! I can tell you are definitely a person who has the natural ability to analyze EVERYTHING! It's okay to be that way....I'm the same way. You can't help it...lol But high school can be a very fun time, but also, a very hard time. There is a good motto...."Hope for the best, expect the worst". It's really tough to say what it will be like for you because everyone is different. I don't know how big your high school is....mine was a 3 story 2,000 student school so sometimes it was hard to get to my classes. Some teachers like to pack things on your, others will be easier. Some teachers just don't care! lol....I've had a few. You will find that one teacher that you will never forget and who will always help you out when you need it. Just ask. But as for your honor classes, don't expect to get off easy. Expect homework the first day of school! You will not be only one running the hallways trying to find your classes (you should get a map though...if not, go find a teacher for help) Be confident and laugh about the mess-ups of being late on the first day of school. Try not to over think things! Good Luck!
