If you start with a conclusion, then search for supporting evidence, you're bound to miss a lot...

You're right, "religion" which is man made will close people's mind. True spiritual life seeking the truth... that will open it and at some points close it (when you know truth and the reality of things, some things you can no longer accept). if you call this closing mind! Like people thinking I am a bigot because I know pedophilia is wrong! (like all the rest of unnatural sexuality)

It's scientifically proven!! I'm currently writing a paper on personality traits and political affiliation, and "Closedness" = "Conservative" in the literature. And, as you probably know, "Conservative" often means "religious" (and here we're talking about fundamentalist religions, like specific sects of Protestantism). Read the following and know that "Openness" is a personality trait on a measurement tool of personality called "The Big Five". "...the dimension of Openness seems to be the distinguishing factor between the conservative and liberal orientations: the more people are open-minded the more they are politically left-oriented, while the less they are open-minded the more they are politically right-oriented. McCrae notes that “variations in Openness are the major psychological determinant of political polarities “ (p. 325) because “openness predisposes individuals toward liberal political views” (p. 327). " and: "conservative individuals tend to be unadventurous, behaviorally rigid, socially conforming, and conventional in their moral reasoning; they enjoy jokes about sex but not nonsensical humor… Closed individuals will tend to draw sharp lines between in-group and out-group and prefer the former to the latter – tendencies that lead to fervent patriotism. They will follow the rules they were taught, including obedience to authority. They will expect that others also follow the rules; if they do not, they will advocate strict punishment, not because they are vindictive but because punishment is the simplest way to enforce conformity” (p. 326). I've got more if you want it...

Arthur Originally Answered: If I drop a heavy ball and a light ball, which ball will hit the ground first?
It depends more on the density of the ball than the weight. A small BB will drop more quickly than a beach ball even though it weighs less. The mass (weight) of the object really doesn't affect how fast it falls at all. The big beach ball has a whole lot of air resistance and so it will fall much more slowly. If you took two balls made of the same material but different sizes, they should hit the ground at the same time.

They will hit the gound at the same time. In high school we did this experiment dropping a heavy and a light ball from the top of the stadium and they hit the ground at the same time
