So is this a good or bad idea?

So is this a good or bad idea? Topic: University of michigan and admissions
June 17, 2019 / By Rhona
Question: Is it possible to go to one of my in-state cardinal point colleges for one year, ace everything, and then get transferred to a school of my choosing afterward? Example: U of I just denied me (no surprise after a GPA hammer blow my sophomore year from family issues, blah blah blah) and I want to at least get into the University of Michigan. Figured Eastern or Western Illinois for a year and then transfer, but I have no clue how that whole process works. AP/Honors student, love sports and extracurriculars, but I just have a crap family situation, unfortunately (brain and brawn aren't the problem). Thanks for any answers, guys.

Start by reading through the transfer admissions pages at the universities you are interested in transfering to. Univ of Illinois http://admissions.illinois.edu/apply/req... Univ of Mich http://www.admissions.umich.edu/transfer... The iTransfer site may help you further http://www.itransfer.org/ I'm not sure exactly how things work out there, but here in California its actually easier to transfer from a community college into the Univ. of California (UC) system rather than from a CSU (Calif. State Univ.). It may be similar for you. Talk to admissions counselors and academic advisors whenever possible!

also it won't in all colleges. some colleges have smaller class sizes, so the teachers know their students and they would notice a stranger in their class.

It is a pretty good idea. However, it would indeed be far easier (and cheaper) to use a friend's set of notes. One of the things I do is Audio Record ALL my classes in addition to taking notes. I even have a few friends take notes and record them for me if I am not there. We all share the audio if need be and I've already gotten permission to do so with my teachers (dont go too high on the chain of command though because administrators tend not to like the idea, but if they didnt hear it...). Another idea is to make a website! I mean it is all too easy these days for anyone to make a site. You could do several things with it. Build it and post the notes of your classes up there, allow others to post notes of their classes up there, and simply advertise your site. Where is the money you ask? Too easy. You add ads from google or even from local businesses -when someone clicks on them you get paid a slight amount. Hope that helps.

You're forgetting that college students don't usually have a lot of money to waste on paying someone to take notes when they can just ask a friend for them later.

2 years at a local Junior College, an Associates Degree, and a very good grade point average could do a lot for you. It's also much more cost effective, gives you the opportunity to gather some funds, and would allow you to live at home. You are more apt to find part time employment in an area that you are familiar with. Two years at a better university with a degree is good. You will always be able to say that you are, say, an MIT graduate even though you only studied there for 2 years.

I personally don't support it. Having both genders on the same team changes levels of cooperation and effort for the worse. In a same-gender team there's a great sense of camaraderie that simply doesn't work between opposite genders. There's always going to be some form of sexual tension or something involved when genders are mixed in these kinds of environments. And since feminists believe in extra rights, not equal rights, they'll keep meddling with sports until basically it becomes a rule that males can never defeat a female in a game and the women must always win. Feminists/feminazis need to stop trying to fix things that aren't broken. Anyway, read this study/essay on how the social environment is affected by mixed gender teams. It's a little long but you should find it interesting: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb...

It's not a good idea, but it's time to have female wresting teams, female football teams, and the like. It's kind of silly to have "sports that boys do" (football, baseball) and "sports that girls do (gymnastics, softball). But putting them together wouldn't make any sense, since males and females physically are quite different.
