Yahoo! Answers has a system of points and levels to encourage participation and reward great answers. The number of points you get depends on the specific action you take. While you can't use points to buy or redeem anything, they do allow everyone to recognize how active and helpful you've been. (And they give you another excuse to brag to your friends.)
Log in to Yahoo! Answers: 1 point. (Once daily)
Answer a question: 2 points.
Delete an answer: -2 points.
Have your answer selected as the best answer: 10 points.
Receive thumbs-up rating on your best answer: 1 point per thumbs-up. (Up to 50 thumbs-up are counted)
Vote for an answer: 1 point.
Vote for no best answer: 0 points.
Ask a question: -5 points.
Choose a best answer for your question: 3 points.
No Best Answer was selected by voters on your question: 5 points returned.
Levels are another way to keep track of how active you (and others) have been. The more points you accumulate, the higher your level. As you attain higher levels, you'll also be able to contribute more to Yahoo! Answers - you can ask, answer, vote and rate more frequently.
Level 1: 1–249 points
Level 2: 250–999 points
Level 3: 1,000–2,499 points
Level 4: 2,500–4,999 points

Answer & vote your daily limits.
Level 2 starts at 250 points.
All levels can pick a best answer to questions they ask and can vote for best answer on others' undecided questions. Once you hit level 2 & get the ability to 'rate', the only difference in the levels is the daily limits on questions, answers, comments, votes, etc.
Levels 2 and up can 'rate' the answers of other Y!A users. Rating = giving Thumbs Up & Down to express your opinion of other peoples' answers. No points are involved (unless a best answer has TUs, then they get 1 point for each TU up to 50) in rating, and thumbs do not determine the Best Answer selection.
answer your limit of questions each day (2 points each)
get an answer selected as best answer (10 points each)
pick a best answer for your question (3 points)
vote your limit of unresolved questions each day (1 point each)
save 3 searches (10 points)
take the Community Guidelines (20 points)
you also get a point a day for signing in
each question costs 5 points, so ask sparingly

You need 250 points to move up to the 2nd level. These suggestions will get there in 4-5 days maybe sooner. To move up answer lots of questions, the maximum you can do every day, that's 20 at your level, you get 2 points for each so 40 points per day, always trying for best answer they give you ten points. Before posting a question do a search first, searches are free asking a question costs you five points, but be sure to return and pick best answer that way you get 3 points back. Be sure to vote for undecided questions, you get a point for each vote so up to 25 points each day. Take the community guidelines quiz and you can get an extra 20 points.

First, you have to care about helping people. Then scan for a question you can answer intelligently. Answer it politely with any knowledge you have on the subject, and sometime later you may get points for giving the best answer. Good luck.

Originally Answered: Should Yahoo answers disabled the report button for all users so only non Bias Yahoo mods can report the questions and answers?
Y staff do not moderate YA, WE do - we are all Community Moderators and this is the hundredth time explaining this
thousands of violations pouring in every day - there are 200 million of us and only a handful of Y employees - just think about that for a minute...
and try to figure out how fast Yahoo would have to close down YA due to it being overrun by spam and trolls, not to mention porn and extremely explicit and vulgar sexual content
trusted members EARNED that trust and the ability to delete what they report by ACCURATELY reporting thousands of violations with almost none being overturned on appeal
those who report poorly quickly lose their status at trusted members
why do you think that a Q is immune from being reported once it has a BA? - there is no statute of limitations on violations - ones from eight years ago are reportable and should be reported as no one wants to do a search and find an old post with porn or racism in it!
this is why we need to see the WHOLE post:
Who do you think the intended audience is?
What are three things the writer does to reach that audience?
What appears to be the writers purpose?
And lastly do you think the writer achieves that purpose? Why?
Best answer and ten points to whoever can all answer the questions I stated in this question :-)"
this is clearly a solicitation for homework, given the formality of the long list of questions you asked under the main header - your one answer showing in the cache is a violation but that person knows you are soliciting homework
then you defiantly posted it again but left out the list of questions, but turned it into a rant violation by lashing out at the douchebag who reported it
well, guess what, that douchebag is no douchebag but a seasoned reporter who knew this was a violation and lo and behold, you lost your appeal
145 appeals on 145 violations or 145 appeals on this one? either way, that should tell you you need to figure out what you're doing in this site
