July 20, 2019 / By Kortney
Question: Religion is such hard topic to discuss these days. Religion involves many parts of our life. On Monday 4 of Feb 2013, I attended a religion class offered by the College by teacher Mike north. The class has two parts. The First part is a lecture part which the teacher explains development of three western religions, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. The second part is seminar part where students read the Holy book of each religion to discuss the meaning of each verses, and how people deal with it. Each student has to write a pre- seminar paper to shear with other students how he/she thinks about these verses. Students has to do further reading to answer some question about each religion (these questions provided by the teacher). Academic goal of religion class is each religion a complete to the other ones.

Religion is such hard topic to discuss these days. Religion affects many areas of our life. On Monday 4 Feb 2013, I attended a religion class at the College given by teacher Mike north. The class had two parts. The First part was a lecture in which the teacher explained the development of three western religions, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. The second part was a seminar in which students read the Holy book of each of those religions to discuss the meaning of their verses, and how they reflected on people's life. Each student had to write a pre- seminar paper to be shared with other students about whatw he/she thought about those verses. Students had to do further reading to answer a question about each religion (which was posed by the teacher). The academic goal of religion class is to conclude that each religion completes every other. *** As a comment, to your text, we live at the age of 'politically correctness', so the idea is to say that 'everybody is right' even you think the opposite (or that noone is right). Anyway, regarding this subject, I'm not sure if those are truly 'western religions', since they all developed in the Middle East. And they are indeed all related (in the same way 'Romance languages' are to each other). Or they all had common roots, but diverged from each other mainly because of people's manipulation. Some rational people simply say those are fiction books... But true or not, even religious zealots should exert critical thinking... Those books were not written by themselves, and so we can assume that the prophets existed... But I'm sure that many things written are twisted... (And personally, while I believe that Jesus Christ was a man of honourable character, I take many of his actions with a grain of salt...

It depends on if whoever you write this for wants you to use words like "First". I'll keep it out for this one: The main challenge facing Christians today is the idea of modifying their religion. Christianity emerged thousands of years ago, which in turn means that some of the things they believe in can be dated or wrong. (I'm doing my best for the next part, because you go off a tangent with literally no meaning or purpose) With more and more branches of Christianity emerging through the ages, such as Martin Luther's reformation of the Catholic church (more commonly known as the protestant church) Christianity seems to have moved farther and farther from its origins, and become instead a collection of completely unrelated belief systems. Though it can be argued that this has in turn fixed many of the issues of Christianity, I don't think this is the case. (Then you jump to a BS statement about free speech) For example, Christian churches cannot deal with issues in the modern world, like drugs, alcohol, and the controversy of homosexuality. Even though some churches have addressed these hot button topics, Christianity hasn't come up with a decision as a whole. Therefor, it has affected the rights of the people in the church, because they feel obligated to ask whether or not something is sinful. So in conclusion, the relationship between churches and people are not going in the right direction. Here is the same thing without my notes, so you can copy/paste it into whatever your doing: The main challenge facing Christians today is the idea of modifying their religion. This is legitimately a D+ job. With what I added you could maybe get a C, but come on! Google is a thing, you know.

Firstly, the main challenge that faces Christians is modifying the religion. (the meaning of that sentence doesn't make sense; how is that a challenge, what do you mean by modifying, etc.) Christianity begun few centuries ago, so Christians are facing changes in the core of the religion. (what do you mean? Doesn't make a lot of sense) For example, in Christianity, Luther (who is this?) and a lot of people have established THE church; therefore, Christianity has more and more ideas that it does not link to Christianity anymore. However, these churches have not fixed the issues of Christianity (can also be phrased as 'has not fixed Christianity's issues'). In fact, it made it worst. Christianity cannot deal with hot topics anymore (hot topics?). For example, drugs, alcohol, and homosexuality are all topics some churches have accepted and others have not. Therefore, these ideas have affected the rights of free speech because every Christian feels he has to ask for promotion to do something (ask for promotion? Perhaps you mean 'ask for permission'?). In short, the relationship between the Church and Christians are not in the right direction. I've fixed the grammar but a lot of the meaning does not make sense. Note that 'Christian people' can simply be written as 'Christians', and you can refer to churches as The Church because it is basically all under one organization, this is one of the only cases in English you can do this though. Also, correct grammar doesn't mean the sentence will make sense. For example, 'Marshmallows are executed due to pink bananas having multiple children' is grammatically correct, but it doesn't make sense lol. This is a skill you will have to learn on your own I'm afraid. Good luck!

Dear Sir / Madam I am writing because I wish to complain about the manager’s shop which I have been working at a few afternoons a week under unfair conditions. First of all, you said the conditions of working would be pleasant. However when I was working at the shop I discovered the air conditioning did not work and the weather was warm. Secondly you promised I would get assistance that would help me with the customers. However no assistance was provided, and often times I have been working alone. In addition, you have not paid my salary, even though you promised you would pay on time. In addition to the wages I have not yet received, I would also like compensation for the disappointing conditions. I would appreciate if you will work with me and fulfill the promises you made to me. I look forward to a prompt reply. Yours sincerely, John Martin
