Help. How to find a job?

Help. How to find a job? Topic: Ihop jobs application
June 24, 2019 / By Sabrina
Question: I feel I can do simple jobs like cashiering, waitressing, and housekeeping. But they want you to "be experienced"! I plan to enroll in college next August, but I have no real job experience. I worked at two places temporarily (one month at each job). And no spamming.

Well, at least you have SOME experience. Apply EVERYWHERE. I mean everywhere. Places like Target and Wal-Mart always need people. Take a day to walk into every place and ask if they are hiring, talk to the manager about what he expects (if you want to go as far as asking for a manager), fill out applications and just keep going. Even if they call you for an interview keep filing out apps and going to other interviews until you land a job. Don't think just cause they called you, you have to be openly avail. for them. You might also wanna try places like IHOP or Denny's, Waffle House... if you keep a job like that for 6 months you'll have good enough experience to move to a better place (with better tips) Fast Food places are another option. Good luck.

The school you were attending has a Career Placement office with resources for students - perhaps you are still eligible to use their resources. They will have jobs available that are seeking college students or recent graduates, and should also have other help for you, like resume writing and interviewing skills workshops and training. It's worth going to find out what they offer; you pay for their services with your tuition. Best of luck to you.

Maybe the fact that you are planning to work only for a while and then go back to school scares employers off because they expect that by the time you get trained and you are good at your job, they'd lose you because you'd be off to school again. Have you tried temp agencies? I've never gotten great jobs through them, but better than McDonalds.

I don't know if you've tried Sallie Mae or not, but thats where I got all my educational loans through. I had the same problem, also make sure you apply for the grants they make a huge difference. Good luck to you!!!!

CALL the office and explain you are TOO STUPID to do your homework. When they stop LAUGHING at you, the probation officer that answered the phone will help you.

If you want to ace telephone interviews, my First tip is to be calm and be centered, your voice will matter a lot because the person will not have a live impression of you but instead they will judge you by the confidence in your voice, my website is dedicated on nailing telephone interviews and I suggest you check it out-->http://telephoneinterview.org/
