most of the papers i wrote in college, i started out with question, and at the end, i would answer the question, or sort of clarify it. for example "Why is racism a social problem?" Some believe it is because...."blah blah blah "thus concludes me to my final statement, racism is a social problem because.." does that make sense? im pretty tires right now btw lol. good luck and i hope i helped!

Use a fun quote to start things off, and then expound from there. For example: There is an old Chinese proverb that says, “A single conversation across the table with a wise person is worth a month's study of books”. OR According to Truman Capote, “A conversation is a dialogue, not a monologue. That's why there are so few good conversations: due to scarcity, two intelligent talkers seldom meet.” Good luck.

Well it's hard for us yahoo users to start off the conclusion paragraph for you when we don't have your essay in front of us. The way I write my conclusions is I basically wrap up my paper with what I just talked about. Start off with your thesis statement, summarize your 3 main points into 2-3 sentences, then leave the last 1-2 sentences on why you wrote what you did. For example, if I wrote an arumentative paper on my disagreements with war, I would let the reader know in my very last 1-2 sentences why I feel that way by saying something like "War is a constant battle that gets people nowhere" (not my greatest example... but something like that).

Start with the Title of the essay. You could call it 'Review of - - - - - - - - - - (the book) In the first paragraph Say who the author is, when it was written, what it's baout. In the final paragraph, you should make some conclusion

I'm currently in a graduate program to teach ESL. When I wrote my statement of purpose on my application, I mentioned my interest in the field of TESL, the reasons why I was interested, and what I planned to do in the future once I obtained my degree. I hope that helps!
