I can't tell you which one to choose, but I can suggest some factors to investigate that might help you make your decision. 1. Look at the requirements for a major and the general education requirements. 2. Consider costs, including transportation costs. 3. Visit the campuses, spend the night if possible. Try the food. If possible, sit in on a lecture. See what the social life is like. 4. Check into study abroad opportunities, undergraduate research, internships, clubs, recreational sports. 5. Look into availability of themed housing. Note that completing Ball State's pre-engineering curriculum does not guarantee admission to an engineering school. Did you consider Purdue and Rose-Hulman? They are both excellent engineering schools and located somewhat between Chicago and Muncie.

Really, you should be asking this question from your undergrad Comp Sci professors, not the random people on Y!A. Half of them (us) will pick schools based on sports teams, and you don't want that (I hope). So I always liked the University of Michigan because my undergrad used to beat them at basketball all of the time. See what I mean?

I think you should go to Loyola in Chicago...not just because I'm from Illinois. Since they offered a conditional admission, you'll probably be more motivated to keep your grades high. It will also look better to future employers if they know you attended a competitive university for your masters. As far as research in networking fields go ...I'm not knowledgeable on the subject so I have no advice... Let me know what you decide!!! Good luck.

It doesn't matter on how well one matches up with the other, it's how you will match up with the uni. The major point should be whether you want to live in Flint or Chicago for 4 years of your life.

Well I'm from Florida but haven't been to any of these schools, but I went ahead and found the links to each schools history program for your convenience. While Florida State is the most prestigious of the schools, it's located in Tallahassee, which I hear is usually pretty boring. South Florida (Tampa) and Central Florida (Orlando) are in cities that have a lot more fun things to do. You'll just have to do more research and decide where YOU want to go. All three of these schools are considered great schools and I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever one you choose. Good luck! none of these schools are in south florida you should ask on the tampa site or north florida or orlando. down here in south fl we have UM, FIU (awful school) usf is a bit better than fiu, ucf not great, FSU would be the best of the 3 but still not great. I would take the SAT again and try for at least a second tier school like UM or UF
