9.) d. simile. You can tell because the sentence compares two things. She shook 'like' a trout. 10.) a. assonance. There is a repetition of 'i' and 'o' sounds. 12.) I haven't seen the whole movie, but I would go with c. denouement (the final resolution of a plot). I don't think his firing was ironic, but I can see where you're coming from. 13.) b. paradox. You wouldn't naturally think that pain is a good thing. 16.) I would tend towards answering with b. irony, as malapropism results from a confusion between similar sounding words with opposite meanings, and irony is the intentional use of a word to express a different or opposite meaning. For the questions I haven't listed, I agreed with your answer. Hope this helps.

check the correct math simplications 5^2 over 5^-6 i got 1 over 5^4 correct solve the following: 7^5 over 7^3 i got 7^15 should be 7^2 (or 49) which is the correct simplification (6^-2)^-3 i got 1 over 6^6 should be 6^6 solve the following: (9^4 x 15^2)^8 i got 9^32 x 15^16 correct, but another correct answer would be 9^40 x 5^16 simplify (-3x^2)^3 i got -27x^6 correct what is equivalent to (1 over 4) ^ 6 i got (1 over 16) ^ 30 should be 4^(-6) what is equivalent to 3a^-2 i haven't answered this yet should be 3 over a^2 in 1973, the bald eagle population on a nature preserve was 1,700 since then, the population has been decreasing by 3.5% per year. the exponential decay equation which represents this situation is a=1700(1 - 0.035)^t, where A represents the number of bald eagles and t represents the number of years since 1973. suppose t was a negative number (meaning before 1973 what can you identify about the A the number of bald eagles. A: the # will be less than 1700 B: the number will be more than 1700 c: the # will still be 1700 D: there is not enough info to analyze this problem. I have not answered this question, but i THINK it's A the answer should be B, if t is negative it is like you are deviding 1700 by something that is less than 1, so you are increasing it

Moral Hazard. A moral hazard is when someone engages in risky behavior because they have insurance and will not be held responsible for their actions. Adverse Selection is an economic concept in insurance. It describes an undesirable result where one party to the deal has information that the other party does not.

My 1st instinct is that this is adverse selection, but had to go back and look up the difference. (Former Insurance adjuster). http://www.differencebetween.com/differe... I think you are right. Driving more carelessly maybe stupid, but not cause an accident, or just get lucky. Years ago, adverse selection was more prevalent in health insurance. The insured had a condition that they did not disclose to insurance, so they bought health insurance, knowing that the amount of the premium would never pay for the costs to treat them. Think $3,000 per year premium vs insurance paying $50,000 per year to treat. Since this is a holiday, may get better answers on Friday from agents that write insurance for their opinion.
