You're not even trying You should know examples of single celled organism's, that's easy. Bacteria maybe? Before you post your homework assignment maybe narrow it down to the questions you CAN'T do, not the ones you don't WANT to do. And you need to think some more... what are cells measured in.. do you want metric or imperial measurements.

I'm thinking it goes this way . . . math = 2 1/5 hours science = 1/2 of 2 1/5 = 1 1/10 English & Social Studies = 7/8 of 2 1/5 = 7/8 * 11/5 = 77/40 total time studying = 2 1/5 + 1 1/10 + 77/40 = 3 + 8/40 + 4/40 + 77/40 = 3 + 89/40 = 3 + 2 + 9/40 = 5 9/40 hours 9/40 hours = 9/40 * 60 minutes = 13.5 minutes total time studying (if I interpreted the question correctly): 5 hours 13 minutes 30 seconds (or 5 9/40 hours) ;)

"English and Social Studies took ⅞ as long" ⅞ as long as what? ⅞ as long as his math homework, or ⅞ as long as math and science combined?

Originally Answered: I have physics homework regarding relative velocity and I am having trouble with a homework question. Help?
Assuming she does the math right to point her plane in the proper direction, her airspeed will be the hypotenuse of a triangle with her groundspeed pointing north and the base of the triangle being the windspeed. That groundspeed, pointing north, is the resultant vector of her airspeed (pointing probably slightly east of north) and the windspeed (pointing west).

Positive Velocity is when you do your own homework. Negative Velocity is when someone else does it for you. Zero Velocity is about how fast your getting your homework done while playing on the Internet. I guess going to hell would be Negative Velocity. Thanks for the suggestion...
