Does everyone get offered Dual Admissions at UCSD if they were not admitted as a freshman? Topic: Letter of application to a university for admission
June 26, 2019 / By Zandra
Question: I got my rejection letter today, but it had a "however" in it. I was just wondering if they say that to all students or am I "lucky' to even get that. This is what it said : Thank you for your application to UC San Diego for Fall Quarter 2011. After a thorough review of your application, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission for Fall 2011. However, in light of your academic commitment and your interest in our campus, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to participate in the Dual Admissions Program. Please refer to your letter and contract for further details about this unique program. Note that in order to participate, you must return your contract by the deadline of May 1, 2011.

it pretty much says go to community college then you are grantee an admission to ucsd if you have a gpa of 3.0 or high (university link). I got the same letter. The reason they this to me is because I suck at english but i am in the top 6% of my class.

In my opinion, your chances are very good. I went to UCLA (transferred from a community college), was also a first generation college student, had a similar GPA, Dean's List and all that other good stuff...Just make sure you have all the pre-requisites done because they want you to be ready to begin the upper division courses. You should also consider Stanford (if you're first generation you might get a full ride through school). Good luck in your endeavors!

thanks a lot i'm contained in the approach of utilising to 6 Ivies, Stanford, Duke, Georgetown, and Notre Dame, and it is stressing me out like loopy (esp because the time limits are like a number of week away), so that's amazingly efficient. I play a recreation and characteristic talked to coaches at 3 of the colleges (basically 4 of them have my recreation), so with slightly of luck that must be functional me, yet my appropriate selection is Princeton and that i'm getting really intimidated. I merely all started gazing school unique some days in the past because it became so a lot more suitable particular to my faculties than yahoo solutions, and this became a wide element in my increasing intimidation, so thanks for a minimum of partly invalidating that web site and its pretentious individuals. thanks back. Any further suggestion on the perfecting the truly applications to the Ivys must be tremendous.

What does it mean if you actually never took the classes to begin with because of serious family problems?! I never took the classes to begin with but my GPA is a 3.29 and I have over 24 credit hours which is recommended to apply there. I'm nervous they might revoke my admissions!
