How does a soul interact with a body? Topic: How to write a phd

Question: If a body follows deterministic physical laws, how does a non-physical soul affect what a body does? Cosmo: Quantum considerations don't apply. There are too many interacting wave functions in the body for any of them to not collapse to a specific eigenvalue. Relativistic mechanics are sufficient to make accurate predictions in this case.

Very good question. I have no solid answer but then again if i did i would be famous (at least to some). So here are some wild guesses. The same way as imaginary numbers interact with real numbers. or The soul writes our fate before the creation of the universe and thus affects us by setting up the laws of physics. or Perhaps the soul is physical but too subtle to be detected by our current level of science. But as i said these are just a few guesses, if i knew i would have a Nobel prize or at least a PhD. (edit) There was a young man who said, “Damn! It is borne upon me that I am But a being that moves In predestinate grooves - I'm not even a bus, I'm a tram”.

they don't. you use one or the other. typically it's from the *nix world (ksh, bash, csh, sh, rsh). I am probably missing some. the cmd shell one of the shells used in windows (command.com is another kind of). all these shells differ a fair amount from one another, but share some common aspects, like ability to cd into a directory, mv or move files or rename files, cp or copy files pushd to push a directory, popd to pop a directory, date and time, changing the prompt, setting the PATH, and dirs are different between windows and *NIX. *nix they are case sensitive and start with and use / and use / throughout whereas with windows absolute filepaths use c:\ and use \ throughout both share . for current dir and .. for parent dir. switches vary between programs, on windows some switches are / or - or --, but on *nix they are - or -- and help is often -h -? or --help whereas on windows it can be /? -? --? or -help --help -h --h /h /help

Good question. Conversely, how could victimless "sins" committed by a temporal body affect the eternal destination of an incorruptible soul? I'm sure this is a much more simple minded answer than you are seeking, but I see the body as merely a vehicle for the soul. The soul cannot choose over some things (health, longevity, etc.), but otherwise it directs the body to accomplish its own ends. And I'm one of those fools who believes that there are things in existence on a separate plane that science cannot prove.

The soul isn't separate from the body. It is the energy that keeps the body alive. The Bible never states that the soul is different from the body, but that people and animals ARE souls. If you are really interested I'll post the verses, but if not, just give me my free cookie and milk and I'll be on my merry way.

Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." We see then that a person has 3 parts: body (dust) , soul( the real personality which will live forever) , and spirit(breath of life or breath from God) When the breath of God (spirit) is withdrawn, then the body returns to dust, but the soul(the real person or personality lives on forever). Man has a body of flesh. His Spirit is the inner man. The union of the Spirit makes man a living soul. He is created in the image of God not because he has a body, but because he is a personality with the power of self determination. He is a moral being. The body came from the dust of the earth.....The union of the spirit that God put in him Zech 12;1 makes him a living soul. Job 33;4 and Gen 2;7. The Lord formed man(body) of the dust of the ground, breathed into his nostrils the breath of life(spirit) and man became a living soul. (Animated body). When man dies the spirit has left the body. The body returns unto the earth from whence it came and the spirit returns to the God who gave it. Ecc 12;7 The union of the two is conception. The separation of the two is death, for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.

Yep. If a soul is non-physical, then it cannot interact with the physical without making itself know through a testable and observable phenomenon. If a soul IS physical, then it must be observable. The soul either has no function materially or it doesn't exist.

I believe the soul is physical energy. It interacts with the body giving emotional and spiritual power.

Oh, there's bazillion steps in between there. If you hit the letter G... keyboard sends the "scan code" to the PC PC takes the scancode and sends the ASCII code to the OS OS pass it to the current program Program determines how to update screen Program updates screen memory Video card takes updated screen data converts that to video signal, and send it along Obviously I had to condense a lot of steps and leave out tons of details...
