Petition for a gender change-does it look okay?

Petition for a gender change-does it look okay? Topic: Cover letter recommendation friend
May 23, 2019 / By Simeon
Question: Can someone with a legal background let me know if this looks okay? I can't afford a lawyer and I was a psychology major. Hehe. Thanks in advance for your help. Petition for gender change I, _____ _ ______, hereby petition the court for an order to change the gender marker on legal documentation. I have undergone several irreversible medical procedures to change my sex from female to male. I have followed the recommendations of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health's Standards of Care for Gender Identity Disorders in my transition process, and have been living full time in the male gender for over 4 years. I am petitioning the court for an order to change the gender marker on legal documentation, such as driver's license and birth certificate. Enclosed is a letter from my physician as evidence of sexual reassignment hormonal therapy and surgery. As this is not a procedure the court frequently encounters, I have enclosed an example order containing the necessary information. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, FIRST M LAST Attachment, example order On the ______ day of ________________, ________, the Petition of FIRST M LAST for Change of Sex coming on to be heard, and after having fully examined the said FIRST M LAST as to reasons for such desired change of sex, it is found that said Change of Sex is proper and that it will not be detrimental to the interest of any other person. It is therefore ordered that the sex of FIRST M LAST, born in CITY, State of ________, resident of the State of __________, to FATHER and MOTHER LAST on MONTH xx, 19xx, birth name FIRST LAST, be changed to that of male, that the Bureau of Vital Statistics alter the birth records accordingly and that publication issue according to law. SO ORDERED, ______________________________________... Judge Edit: Sorry, I am including a detailed letter from my doctor stating procedures and length of time she's been following me and her recommendation for the change to be made.

you've covered enough bases to satisfy a court. if you get an ahole judge, at worse he can demand clarification on some points which you will have to satisfy. went through it with a friend. good luck.

Omri Originally Answered: How did gender roles change because of world war II?
well during the war since all the men were fighting, women worked in the factories and prior to the war, women were never looked at as the working type so after the war women felt that they should be able to work if they want to

during the war, the men left to fight while the women were left at home. Since the men were gone, surely someone had to do the jobs that were left -- which is what the women did.

This is a document that you will need to have reviewed by a lawyer. You will also need notarized documents from the doctor, hospital, psychiatrist, and any other people that were a part of your sex change. It's not good enough to just say you had the surgery done. You need to prove it with medical papers. Then do it legally so this doesn't come back to haunt you 20 years from now.

Lawrie Originally Answered: Does your assumption about someone's gender change how you view their parenting advice (ridiculously long)?
it is human nature to judge a book by it's cover. LOL, good experiment. Many of us coincide that a man could not possibly know how to parent as well as a more experienced mother. Your disadvantage in your experiment is the fact you/or someone else identified you as a lawyer. That made you smart in the eyes of the world, and no matter what your advice people would be more prone to listen to you, even if you appeared to be male.

Well - I am newer to the boards than some, and not as new as most. I only came across this question because of the crush one... and then I thought someone had stolen your identity. I now know different. I am of a position that I always looked forward to your answers because of the fact that you seem to have the rules and advice that I always want. The things I want to apply to my house and feel opposed by my spouse. I am not always strong enough to believe that the way I want things are the right way. I am getting there though and sometimes just need to be reaffirmed. For some, people like me, this is sometimes really important. YA gives advice, jokes, and a camaraderie that some of us don't have in real life. I did look forward to the male perspective of it, but overall the answer is the important thing. I always wished you would accept friends, so maybe this is a blessing! lol... Thank you for your personality, and your candor, and I hope this doesn't effect your YA relationship too much! Looking forward to many more answers (boosters) from you --- Schmee.
